About Us

The University of Nevada, Reno has been providing workforce training in Nevada for over 100 years.  From the Comstock miners of the 1880’s to innovative energy programs of today, Extended Studies works with employers to determine what skills are needed in the workplace in different industries, aligns resources from the University to develop programs and markets and delivers timely and useful programs to existing and potential employees.

Human resources, supervisory and management skills, project management and computer skills are demanded by many employers.  Extended Studies programs are taught by faculty and industry experts in these fields and many graduates build successful careers with the foundations learned in Extended Studies programs.

Classes vary in length from 3 hours to 60 hours and are offered in during day, evening and weekend sessions.
